Celebrating the fifty fifth birthday of the King of Royal Nepal, I was invited today to a reception held by Mr. Kedax Bhakta Mathema, Ambassador of Royal Nepal, and Mrs. Mathema at their residence. Mr. and Mrs. Ambassador invited me to a dinner to see Dr. Pramod Shretha and Mrs, Rita Shretha only a few weeks ago. I was impressed very much by their warm hospitality at that time.

from left: the editor, Dr. Tsuchida, Mr, and Mrs, Ambassador and Counselor Mohan K. Shrestha Nepalease table cloth. Dr. Tsuchida likes it. Beautiful ladies wearing sari with their Japanese friends.

Dr. and Mrs. Tsuchida with their grandson, and Mr. Kitagawa were there. The light Nepalease meal was served. They tasted very good. But Mrs. Tsuchida, who has been in Nepal for years, said they had to take such meals everyday, every time while they are there. She told with smile it was somewhat different. Their grandson seems to be wondering whether he would take a master course or become a carrier government official after the graduation of university.

In the afternoon, I visited my cousin at the hospital. He looked much more healthy. According a blood test made yesterday, every item was good, he said. Many patients went home already to spend holidays with their families, So the hospital was enjoying its leisure. As his jaw was wired not to move, he had to take liquid food. So he had to stay at the hospital during holidays. He was spending much more time than me for reading newspapers and seeing TV news. So he was quite familiar with the latest developments of world.
