It was fine through the day. Although I expected big crowds on streets for shopping, there were disappointingly few people. I drove around the city but I did not meet any congestion. The traffic was very smooth on Sunday, December 19. After dark. I took a JR train but it was almost empty. I could not understand why I saw few people. Probably people have not been able to enjoy the up turn of national economy yet.

A new hotel building which was expected to open in the next spring made a world largest Christmas tree on its big wall with light up widows. But it was too big for the pedestrians walking through the side of building so that the most of them passed by without noticing it. |
