Reports from the Editor:

Thanks to you, the Travel Diary had its first anniversary on December 15. On this day, the number of folders increased so that the number of files in a single directory could be kept small. The renewal of construction was done by Mr. Yoshinobu Nakamura of Atheneum, my server. During the transit hours, the editor made wrong operations, causing some troubles to the readers. As I told you before, CD-ROM copied from Diary will be distributed at a good time to do. Thank you again.

My friends invited me to a dinner at an Italian restaurant at Tengenji. Once I was its inside, I felt that I was at an Italian restaurant in foreign countries. When you take a seat on a small chair at a rather small table, your back might touch the one at a rear table. It was somewhat like a three star restaurant in Milan where I took a dinner once. But this place looked much more clean. When I seated at six in evening, it was rather calm. It became noisy by a few minutes past seven not only with Japanese and English speaking people but with Italian. People were enjoying the upsurge of emotion.

At a few minutes past eight, we left there because the next groups of guests were waiting. I was surprised by finding that many races of people, young and old were coming at this time of night.

It was remarkable in Tokyo that Italian restaurant opened one after another these days. It has been a commonsence that foods and restaurants would be the last one as far as the internationalization is concerned. But it was opposite. In Manhattan, New York, the sightseers from Japan tried to get Japanese foods right after their arrival from Tokyo. But back in Japan, people are willingly enjoying foreign foods.
