Mr. Toru Maekawa, a visiting professor of Waseda University, whom I introduced on October 7th page of my diary, presented me his third book titled as "The Frontline of EC Business"(Asubekuto, November 15, 1999, ISBN４-7572-0581-3.） As soon as I received a copy of his book on mail this afternoon, I started to read it and finished it without putting it on table. |
It was only a few years ago even at U.S.A. when e-commerce started. But it developed much faster than any forecast and further broad developments are expected in near future. Meanwhile Japan's progress has been so delayed that it seems to be difficult to decrease the difference of development in near future.
Based on rich information resources (Each resource was shown in the book. As their web sights were put on pages, you can approach directly to the resource by yourself.), he explained in the readable and understandable way how e-commerce has developed in many aspects of business in U.S. in short period. He explained not only the present situation in Japan but also the reasons why Japan delayed for introducing e-commerce in Japan. The professor suggested what we had to do now for the future,
I would like to express my sincere respects and thanks to him for his extraordinary efforts and affluent talents, writing a good text book by digesting many informations and summarizing them very clearly.
The professor would contribute for the development of e-business in Japan in near future. He is a gold egg. I recommend all of you to read his new book.
