The subscription concert of NHK symphony orchestra held on 19tn Friday, last week was the last concert of the year. Maestro Wolfgang Swallisch finished the the season commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of death of Richard Strauss. Thomas Hampson, one of the most popular European baritons, who is much taller than the maestro by about a neck, sang rather romantic by controlling voice. We enjoyed a brilliant and magnificent music of ”Also sprach Zarathustra" played by a hundred people.
