It was a very comfortable morning.

Although it was a bit cloudy, the sun rise was beautiful. Leaves of dogwoods on street became colorful. Some of them bear small red berry. Pigeons are friends of an old man who gives baits every morning.

Many reports on the Nissan restruction plan have come out. The Minister of International Trade and Industry said "The government will not interfere any private company's business. The ministry will help smaller enterprises who may suffer from Nissan's action and will assist the people who become jobless." Some of foreign mass media expressed doubts whether this plan will be accepted without any resistance in Japan. Some others said if this plan is well executed in Japan further foreign investment to Japan will be expected.

According the Business Week October 11 edition, Carlos Ghosn pointed out three causes why Nissan became a deeply debt-plagued company. For example he said "The company is much more competitor-driven than customer-driven. " I am impressed by his excellent ability of observing the situation although available time for him is limited. But I am afraid that he is hurrying too much to accomplish the restruction. This is not restruction but a revolution. To change the life of people who live peacefully everyday without any pre-warning is a revolution just like the French Revolution.

To protect the life of people is a govenerment's mission. To protect the rights of people is a union's mission. The necessary actions should be taken against the entrepreneurs disregarding whether they are Japanese or foreign. At present, we cannot see any government action nor any union's move. That means the economic colonializtion by foreign capital is accepted without any condition. For example, I cannot understand that why the government cannot ask Nissan with Renault to change their restructuring plan of 5 years to 8 years and will help their cash flow if necessary. If no action is taken by the government, the Japanese economy which seem to start up from the bottom might be falling down again. The unions might be going on strike. The Kobuchi regime might be forced to resign. I am worrying Japan might fall in political as well as economic chaos.
