The other day I reported in my diary the restoration of "Ohtomo-Gou", a motor vehicle made at the pioneering day of automobile age in Japan. It was restored by the co-opertion of the National Science Museum and the Toyota Auto Museum (Refer to my diary of October 4.) After that, a copy of a booklet titled as "Restoration of the OTOMO (or Ohtomo-Gou) -A Legacy of the Romantic Taisho Era" was sent to me from the auto museum. The booklet taught me that the Ohtomo-Gou was made by Mr. Junya Toyokawa of Hakuyosha.(A left picture of Ohtomo-Gou on the cover page of booklet was taken at Taisho Villa, Akechi-cho, Gifu prefecture.) |

As shown in its contents the booklet covers not only the records of restoration but the articles specially contributed by esseists. These articles were written well and worth for keeping without any limit as historical documnet. Especially Mr. Shotaro Kobayashi's article titled as "Meet to Junya Toyokawa"impressed me very much. I believe we will never have better reports on Toyokawa than this one. Mr. Kobayashi wrote about Toyokawa with never changing passions of his youth.
The booklet also carries archave pictures as follows:

These documents are often distributed only among the so-called persons concerened. Some of them are put in stack rooms or are throw into ditches. I hope they will be distributed to the general public, even thogh charging costs.
If you have any chance, please read the document! It is my recommendation.
