Mt. Hiroshi Iino, a classmate, wrote about "Furby":
hAt last we have a 'Furby' at our home. It speaks
in Japanese.
I found out that the toy was well devised as we raised it. If
you care it with hands, it speaks many words such as "I am
happy", "I am desperately in love with you"."I
am all right", "It is cold", "Care me more",
etc.
When I paded it on its hand, it said "Don't bother me!".
If we kept it alone, it said "I am bored." Sometimes
it speaks words we have not taught, someting like "Ueno.
Tokyo."
Although it is very clear that its speaking is controlled by computers, I am wondering what kinds of devises are installed. It might be a good pet for aged people who lives alone.
There are many homepages about Furby. Some of them are informing its sell and buy market prices, such as \5,000. A few days ago, I found a shop in Akihabara selling it at \6,900. Tomy sells it at \3,950."(translated by the editor).
