It is the 54th Memorial of Nagasaki Atomic Bomb today. But the center of Tokyo Metropolis was under strict surveillance by hundreds of policemen because anti-Russian demonstrators mobilized by right wingers were marching around the Diet building and the Russian embassy. They condemned Russian who started today of 54 years ago to occupy the southern half of Sagahalien Peninsula and the Kurile Islands of Japanese territory and to invade Manchuria by abrogating one-sidedly the Russo-Japanese nonaggression treaty.

At the other parts of the city, the traffic was light because a few big companies started their summer holidays.
