It rained hard last night in Tokyo. In Minato-ku, one of the three central counties in Metropolitan Tokyo, where I live, some road was flooded. Eventhogh the drainages in these areas have been constructed well, the precipitation in the areas surpassed the drainage capacity a few hours last night. The weather forecast this morning said that we might be able to see blue sky but that it would rain hard intermitently. If you see dark clouds in the sky, the heavy shower is approaching. Watch dark clouds!
As about noon I saw well a blue sky in the east, I went out from my home to see "Setaro Haka Exhibition" held at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi.

Just before going down to the subway station, I saw black clouds in the west. Although I did not bring umbrella, I continued to take train to Mitsukoshi. When I came back to Sengakuji station at 14:00, I found that roads here were drained. But fortunately, it stopped to rain. |
The exhibition made me comfortable and enjoyable as expected.
| Mr. Setaro Haka, a talented violinist, an abstract painter like Picasso, a modern musician, etc.. has become very famous as a multi-artist. His works were so well exhibited at the art gallery that just to be in the hall made me comfortable and happy. But no photograph nor post card of the exhibition was available. To take pictures was prohibited. There was no way for conveying what I saw at the exhibition to friends who could not come. |

I think that a talent for music and a talent for arts sit side by side. Mariko Senju, a violinist, has an artist brother, Hiroshi Senju who is a famous master of arts in New York. Mr. Sugano, an inventor of Koetsu cardrige. has golden ears for music, is a good artist too. His daughter plays flute. His sons have good music ears and also artists. The late Ryuji Tomiya, an artist, once called as a modern Leonald da Vinci was making efforts to make electronic music in his later years.
Among artistic talents. to play music instruments like violin or piano needs training from childhood. If Leonald could get good music training from his childhood, he might be an excellent musician as well as an talented painter, an architect and a craftsman. Mr. Haga was bread by his parents to become a violinist and he himself made extraoinary efforts for mastering violin music. In this way, he could have an excellent foundation for music. Later he jumped to the arts and became a multi-artist.
From now on many multi-artists like Setaro will come out and they will make the life of people in 21st century happier and more comfortable.
