Yesterday afternoon I went to the Kagurazaka Street because NHK morning TV news reported that the local committee of commerce was going to have a special event. A seven hundred meters long white paper sheet is laid down on the street and every people can paint anything they like. Although Kagurazaka was one of the most prosperous amusement centers located north-west of the Imperial palace, the economic depression has hit the place heavily. The people there has planned to revitalize the street with this event as a start. When I got out from the subway station, I saw many professional and armature camera men were walking aound and also saw a few of TV news crews holding heavy professional cameras on their shoulders.

The following are snap shots on the event.

It was a very good event. Please do it again!

This afternoon I went to Nihonbasi Mitsukoshi department store to repair my watch and clock.

The watch repair service station is located on the 6th floor. The plural number of goof crafts men is there at any time. The repairs will be done while you wait. If they need more time, they always tell you when the repair is finished. So the customers can make shoppings or eat, etc.

The repair is guaranteed. Their manners toward customers including crafts men are very good. This service station is recommneted.

I would like to introduce the other member of Kurosunakai who devoted himself to help the people of Nepal, one of the poorest countries in Asia. Just after Professor Akira Tsuchida retired from the faculty of engineering, Seikei University in Tokyo, he volunteered to teach the professors of a university in Katomanzu, capital of Nepal how to organize the faculty. And from several years ago, he tried to have low cost non emission vehicles there. He made a few experimental trails. Finally he got a coclusion that ethyl fueled vehicles would be the best. So he departed to Nepal a few days ago with the results of his study. As he is one of class mates, I know how old he is. Still has a strong will and passion to help the people there.

The left picture was taken by Kinshi Ito, a class mate when Mr. and Mrs. Tsuchida with their friends made an one-day round tour to Kamakura just before his departure. A man on the left is Professor Goro Matsuoka, a class mate, helped Mr. Tsuchida, flying himself to Nepal a few times.
