* This morning, I went to a bank in Ohtemachi just on their opening time, nine o'clock. I was the first customer of the day. But a teller helped me to make a necessary documents very kindly. Up to now, tellers never helped the customers at all. So I was wondering whether her attitude came from her good will or the bank changed its basic procedure of customer relations. If it was the latter one, I think a good example of its renovation.
* In afternoon, I brought my book to him,"The Origin of Competitive Strength," which he wished to have. As he was very busy for writing business e-mails to U.S.A., Mrs. Nancy, his wife, took my book and started to read it. Their family including their sons and daughters has a few of Toyota vehicles, such as Landcruisers, a Lexus Sport and others, but every one of them have had no troubles, she said. Once when Mr. and Mrs. Murata went to Tibet though Nepal and tried to climb up one of highest peaks there, they were surprised to find no other cars than Toyota Landcruiser was running there. They have two units of Landcruiser but when they tried to get the second one, they could not find a simple one like the first one. The new type of Landcruiser has become fancy and luxurious. For example, the seats of them became genuine leather. She said they would like to have better fuel economy on Landcruiser. She showed much interest in my book.
| * When Hiroshi became free, he explained me in details about photographs of paradium print as shown in the right picture. When I saw it first time from a few feet away, I thought they were copper plate prints. They were taken by a lens-less camera equipped only with a shutter on a pin hole. |

The light through a pin hole from outside will make images on the roll film. He opens the pin hole for hours, or he opens or closes it at a few minutes intervals. The slight move of object can be permissible.

The same pictures cannot be made twice with this camera. He brought about ten pictures for this exhibition and he said in order to get ten pictures he consumed about seventy roll films. Assuming he can get 16 pictures per roll film, only ten good pictures can be gotten from a thousand shots. The rate of success is a hundredth of one. These pictures have deep and profound beauty.
