"G" company in New York city sent me yesterday a voluminous report (A4, 90 pages) of the long term view of world auto industry on internet. When I printed it with my old printer, it took almost one hour. 0ne of the main reasons why they could make such a voluminous work in short time is that they saved management data for years of world auto manufacturers and kept them in order. In Japan, I am afraid that no research institutions nor manufacturers have collected such materials and have not classified them. Their research procedures do not differ so much from the methods which I developed years ago with my friends, but they brought in the new viewpoints for this research. I was impressed by their enormous activation.
This kind of researches sometimes have different conclusion due to a bit difference of hypothesis. Japan and its manufacturers should have their own research capability in their hands.
