It was very hot from early morning. I closed all windows at about nine o'clock and switched on the air conditioner. Mr. "F" visited me in the midst of heat. On his way to my home, he was involved in a heavy congestion of the Metropolitan Speedway at first and then right after he left the speedway at the Tengenji Interchange, one of his car's tires got flat. He changed the tire with a spare under a scorching sun. His hands were soiled to black when he arrived at my home. Immediately, he took two 500cc bottles of Pocari Sweat. After he left, I drove to and from Ohtemachi. The traffic was light on streets probably due to heat.

In order to get the old data, I switched on an IBM 535 after years. But I could not start its operation. I was informed from its screen that there was errors on system board. Immediately I mailed it from a post office to Mr.Yoshinobu Nakamura and asked him to have a complete copy of data on its hard disc. It was before six in evening.

Then I went to the health club. Today, a trainer taught me the stretching in person, especially poses for strengthnining abdominal and back muscles. I got training for about an hour including 10 minutes cycling machine exercise. She said it was wasteful to go into pool right after stretching. Because when I enter the pool, my muscle will get stiffen. That means the effects of stretching are reduced. From next time, it would be better to go swimming first and then come to stretching exercise, she said. After I took a shower and came back to my home.

When I got back, I had a mail from Mr, Kitagawa informing that the Lennox World Expo was held in Tokyo in last August. He said the promotion of Open source through the world is being made. Mr. Yano, whom I introduced yesterday on the diary, wrote in his book that he emphasized the promotion of open source. But he did not say at all about TRON (Mr. Kitagawa told me it is the abbreviation of The Real-time Operation System Nucleus.) It was invented and developed in Japan. The system are applied to many equipments (such as portable telephones) and machineries (such as auto engines.) Among the world leading OSs, it is rated no. 2 in number of applications. I could not understand why he did say nothing about it.
