It was a collecting day of burnable garbage today. I got up at four thirty in early morning and made the trimming of trees around my home. I put garages into a 70 litter polyethylene bag and brought it to a deposit site. I did the trimming only a month ago. Still I had to make such a work. I was impressed by the live power of trees which had made such a growth in a short time. The weather station said that the typhoon No. 13 was on its way to north off the Kanto area, and that the rain clouds brought by the typhoon would cause heavy rains in the area. But it did not rain until late evening.

The last night heavy traffic congestion on the up-lanes of super express highways lasted until this morning. As many vehicles and people came back from local towns, number of cars running on streets in Tokyo suddenly increased. Many people are walking around on streets. The traffic jam and noise come back again. In evening I went out to take a supper and found the people who came back from local towns were enjoying a last weekend of their holidays. I met many leisurely styled male adults who wore short pants within subway trains or inside restaurants ( I spent this summer wearing short pants at almost any occasion.) I went to bed past eight in evening.
