| * The red sky in this morning was very beautiful. But it faded away in two minutes, A scorching sun raised up in a blue sky on back. Simultaneously cicadas started to sing loudly, It had a surprisingly cool breeze. It was really a comfortable mid-summer morning. It was 35 degrees during the day, but in evening the sinking sun shone weak. The autumn is coming day by day. |

* Mr. Yutaka Katayama (93 years old,) who promoted the old Fairlady Z, has made efforts to have its successor 350 z by having direct talks with Mr, Carlos Ghosn, CEO of Nissan. Not only TV but almost all other domestic as well as foreign media reported the restoration of the Z car. Today the Kakugawa Book Store sent to me a small package by the Express mail. When I opened it I found a copy of book as shown in the bottom left picture, The three week old edition of Business Week carries a special reports on this car.

When I looked over all these reports, I found that the success of the old Zs and the expectation on the new Zs were supported by Mr. Katayama's clear philosophy. He had a confidence in his believe that a sport car of affordable price for everyone which has better perfromace but does not sacrifice the comfort has a big market. Nissan's Ghosn and his engineers developing new Z were apt to have muscular and powerful sportscar. He stressed the importance of comfort and insisted that it must be affordable. Pray for the health of Mr. Katayama and the success of new Z!
