Mr."K"in Kobe mailed me (from his Mac to my Windows) a short note of his European tour attached with more than fifteen pictures. Every picture except No.5 was received perfectly (communication between Mac and Windows has a little difficulty always.) Both of us made efforts to get No.5 but in vain. So I asked Mr. Yoshinobu Nakamura, who is an owner and a general manager of "Internet cafe Autheneum" at Lake Kawaguchi to study the problems. He replied me one of the reasons of our failures as follows:

The only picture which I could not get is "Friedrich Castle No.5." This failure was caused by the following fact: in a name of attached file or picture, a letter which is not on ISO code. On Mac, the name was written as "Friedrich IV Castle No. 5." But on Windows, it was written as "Friedrich '*' Castle No. 5." This '*' must be IV, but it is not on ISO code. Therefore by taking of IV from Mac's name, the problem can be solved.

As some of Japanese letters are not on ISO code, Mr. Nakamura recommended to use ISO code letters for internet communication for homepages, e-mails and etc.

He added in order to prevent troubles a name of attached files must be written in alphabet or with figures ( within eight letters with extension of less than three letters.) Example:'abcd1234.jpg'@iwhen transfer of files from Mac to Windows is made, to put extension is important too.)
