Last evening, after I took a supper at about seven, I suddenly became very sleepy. I took a bath hastily and went to bed directly. I waked up at 2:30 am. this morning. Immediately I started to print names and addresses on New Year cards. I wished to post all of them before noon. But it took lots of time for checking address book in computer and furthermore ink for printing machine was dried out a bit before I completed the printing. I could not install the new ink cartridge well enough so that I wasted a considerable time ( I had a spare cartridge.) I could not finish all the works for sending cards in early morning. Before eight o'clock I went to the Takanawa Post Office and mailed a batch of the completed cards.

‚h received Christmas mails from Mr. Paul Ozawa and Doctor Klaus Sorg today. Both of them wished to meet me in 2002. Mr. Ozawa was a number one American employee of Toyota Motor Sales Co., Ltd. (US Public Accountant. ) I associated with him for more than forty years.

After he worked for several years at Toyota, he opened his own CPA office which was resulted in good success. Each of his daughters and sons married already and had a good family. He and Mrs. Ellie have many grand daughters and grand sons. The big Ozawa family are growing every day under Mr. and Mrs. Ozawa's good guidance. Mr. Sorg came to Japan about thirty years ago under the International Student Exchange Program and stayed at the product planning office of Toyota Motor Sales Co. for three months. He is now a professor of Berlin University. His father was an owner of German Ford dealership in Fulda, Germany. His elder brother succeeded their father's auto business. Dr. Sorg wrote a thesis about the wage structure at auto dealers and earned the doctorate from Berlin University.

I could send all mails only a few minutes before seven in evening when the post office was closed. After I ate the Toshikoshi soba liesurely (buck wheat noodles eaten on New Year's Eve ), I looked at the popular song match between red (feamale) and white (male) teams on BS digital hi-vision live broadcast. I enjoyed the New Year's Eve at my home.
