*After the hospital, I went to the Haneda Airport, riding on a subway train from East Ginza station. As NHK TV reported this morning Mt. Fuji was seen well from Tokyo, I went there to take two shot picture of airplane and Mt. Fuji. And also I wished to see how the security check was tight. I could see Mt. Fuji fairly well when I arrived there about eleven o'clock. But my small digital camera was not good enough for taking Mr. Fuji far away from Tokyo. Within thirty minutes, Mt. Fuji was completely covered by clouds.
There was no security check at the entrance of terminal building. The upper observation deck, which was closed after September 11, was re-opened a few days ago. Both of departing and arriving passenger lobbies were not as crowded as they used to be and number of planes taking off and landing decreased so that I felt the airport was deserted.@

*Mr. Koichiro Ogura (Professor emeritus of Meiji University, Doctor of Engineering) had been a professor of architecture for years. Once he told me the following story. He was of the opinion that his mansion which he inherited from his parents should be left to the next generation. It was built at the early part of Taisho era ( 1912-1017.) It has a valuable cultural and historical heritage for history of modern architecture in Japan, he thinks. He made efforts to keep it as it was and did not try to crash it down and to build a new one. He installed the air conditioner only in a room. Although the distance between the living room and the wash room was not small, he dared not to change from the original design. He would keep it in the best condition until he can find agencies or person who would succeed his will.
In May, last year, he got a stroke. But he is conscious and has been making every effort in his power to recover his health. He concentrates his daily life on rehabilitation to overcome his misfortune, In late August this year he sent a note to Mr, Sadao Ito and Mr, Osamu Sato and asked them to distribute it to other friends. The following is his note: (Editor: I have not time to translate the following message into English right now. Paron me.)
