Today I saw Mt. Fuji with a hat of white clouds on its top from Subashiri village (located in between Gotemba and Kagosaka mountain pass.) I parked my car at a road side vacant lot. While I was taking shots of the mountain, a villager came to me and said it was a rare chance to see the mountain with a hat. But today the peak of mountain can be seen under the hat. He added it is very rare to be able to see such a view. We have such a chance once in two or three years.

When I got on the Tomei super express highway, nine kilometers long congestion around Atsugi was warned. But when I reached there, it was dissolved. I realized that the traffifc on highway was rather smooth even though it was Saturday morning. When I departed Tokyo, Hakone and Mt. Fuji area was covered by clouds. I could hardly see them. But at the Ashigara parking lots, I saw a part of Mt. Fuji's skirt vaguely under clouds. Then I thought I might be able to see Mt. Fuji at the Lake Yamanaka. I started to drive up the Kagosaka pass and happened to find a good view point on my way. Thus I succeeded in taking valuable shots as follows:

Within thirty minutes, the weather changed remarkably. Five minutes after the last picture was taken, Mt. Fuji disappeared behind the clouds.
