The Ebisu Meeting was held after months. Mr. "G", the leader of meeting could not bring his new poets in print because his personal computer was under repair. But we had nice talks on many themes.

Mr. "S", a good armature golfer, went to see the third day game of World Golf Championship Tournament held at Gotemba. Tiger Woods, who did not well on the first and second day, rushed to catch with and passed a few players in front of him. Number of spectators was 13,000 so that every tee ground or green was surrounded heavily by crowds. You were lucky if you could see them directly even though you were far from them. At no.17, a long hole, Woods pushed his ball toward the right side. Mr. "S" was sitting very near the place where his ball dropped down. Tiger took out the seven iron (Mr. "S" could see the number of iron) and he made a super shot to drop on very near to the pin detouring a stymie tree. It was a wonderful chance for him to see Tiger who had a sharp look on his face. made a fast swing, hit a ball with sharp sound. It was really thrilling for him. Incidentally, the entrance fee was 5,000 yen a day.

Mr. "G", who used to like drinks, did not take it at all today. He has never consulted with doctors. He said he will make efforts to have a longer life until his physical strength is lost. But he never tries to live long with the help of medicine or surgical operations, he added.

After the Ebisu meeting ended, I went to the Marunouchi Club to join a class meeting lead by Mr. Hiroshi Chiba. The meeting is held twice a year. Although I was late for the meeting, I wished to see them a minute. Mr. Tomio Tezuka left already but I could meet Mr. Nobuto Tsuchiya, Mr. Yasushi Hosokawa, Mr. Tomitaro Ishimori, Mr. Shin Kuniyasu, Mr. Yoshiro Kobayashi and Mr. Hiroshi Chiba. The meeting was almost ended but I could have nice talks with them for about thirty minutes.

Mr. Chiba was eighty years old, the oldest among us. But he looks like a thirty years old youth with shining black hairs although they are a bit thin iHe said I am the youngest among us. Mr. Kobayashi is a day younger than me.) He has been used to bite a mouthful food a hundred times. This practice may be helpful for keeping him young.

According to the officials of Ministry of Land, Infrastructures and Transport, Mr. Chiba said Toyota is the most advanced manufacturer in developing fuel cell vehicles. In near future, he told repeatedly fuel cell vehicle will be used practically. I was dumbfounded by listening his talks. It would take years to have the necessary infrastructures. They also have to struggle hard to cut costs. It would not be simple as he thinks, I said. But he did not accept what I told him. As he has absolutely no knowledge about hybrid vehicles, I asked him to drive my Prius today. But I lost him after the meeting was finished and I could not have him to drive it.@

Mr. Kuniyasu remembered the name of this meeting. Mr. Chniba named the meeting as "Coral" in 1947. The next meeting will be held on April 23, 2002, Tuesday.

While I attended two meeting, I found many of us including me were hard for hearing. The communications between us are disturbed by the hard hearing. Once the government said the development of good hearing instruments had been rated as one of the national porjects. But they have not informed us what they have accomplished.
