Immediately after I came back from the hospital, I started to activate Vaio 2. At the very moment a big warning sign came out on the screen. It said a mail contaminated with virus was sent to me. The subject of mail was "such and such." It asked me to start immediately the rescue program. At that time, the said mail was not shown on screen yet. So I could not understand what it was. When I called Mr. Yoshinobu Nakamura, he said the attack of virus has been very aggressive these days and that it must be caused by the virus, about which NHK TV news reported this morning it might be one of the worst virus we ever had. He advised me never to open the mail. Not a few of his friends in his neighborhood at Lake Kawaguchi got damages on their computers.

He taught me how to delete the virus contaminated mail. He told me to push buttons in the following order: Start[Program[Norton Antivirus[LiveUpdate. I could not do well at first. After I repeated the operation three times, I got the result. The mail titled as "such and such"was found in the receiving mail box. As it became already harmless, I put it in the trash box by the regular procedures. I had no damages on my Vaio 2, due to Mr. Nakamura's kind and proper advise. He recommended me to install Norton Antivirus and directed me how to operate its rescue program. As I had to do the same operation on my other computers, it took quite a lot of time.

The sender of mail was identified as a friend of mine. Mr. Nakamura said it would be better to tell him what had happened on his mail through the means not using computers. As I had only his e-mail address, I could not make contact with him today.
