On November 20, Monday, when I arrived at the radiation room of the hospital, I was told that the radiation machine (in room B shown on the right chart) did not work well this morning, and said they called the manufacturer to send service men.

If you are in hurry. please get the radio therapy in room A although the machine was not powerful enough as the one in room B. As I was not in hurry, I selected to wait. Later I was told it would be in afternoon when the repair was completed. So I got the therapy in room A.

The gantries in both room looked like the same and the same operation program was applied to both machines. So the patient could not identify the difference between two machines. This morning I happened to find a chart shown in the above at the waiting room for patient. The capacity of machine was written as follows: X ray in room A is 20 MV while in room B 50 MV. Electron volume in room A is 25 MeV while in room B 50MeV (the maximum value of eah machine.) I also noticed that a set of Microton is supplying to both rooms. Due to kinds and conditions of cancer, the rooms are used properly. Except lunch time, the machines are in full operation. So I have not had any chance to ask the engineers about the operating mechanism of machine.

I had a call before noon today from a woman living in Yamaguchi prefecture. She called me and said she found my name while she was searching reports about the sprout brown rice on internet. As she said she had a few questions about the reports, I told her that I merely introduced his report. A friend of mine studied and made reports. It would better for you to make a contact directly with him. I will let her know his name and mail address, if you send me an e-mail. Although I have been waiting her mail through today, I did not get it yet. It might be lost on its way here. I put here his name and mail address to help her to reach him.
