This morning I left my home five minutes earlier than before. I could avoid the time when students go to high and middle schools. I was relieved from rush hour congestion on trains and also on roads. The radio treatment was finished smoothly and I got back to home by 9:30 am.
As a registered mail was to be delivered to me today, I called the Takanawa Post Office and found out that the mail had already arrived at the post office, but that it would take hours to deliver it to me at my home. So I went down to the office to pick it up myself.
In morning, I was busy for replying to e-mails and also for answering calls. Although a meeting of the 16th graduates from Toko was held today, I was absent because I could not find time for joining it.
In afternoon, I attended a press meeting of Toyota Motor Corporation held at the New Takanawa Prince Hotel. The meeting was to announce two newly developed minivans, Voxy (bottom right picture) and Noah (bottom left picture.) The Voxy is a successor to the Light Ace to be promoted through "Netz Toyota" dealers and the Noah is a successor to the Town Ace to be sold through "Toyota Corolla" dealers.
Chief Engineer Noboru Kato said the Voxy goes for a youthful image with a sharp and powerful sleek design, while Noah strikes a tone of friendly familiarity inside a commanding presence.

These two vehicles were exhibited at late Tokyo Motor Show. But at that time, the date of their formal announcement to public was not mentioned at all. At today's meeting, the chief engineer Noboru Kato emphasized that three row seats fold away easily for changing the usefulness of cabin. If the illustration model for various seat arrangement was shown, the vehicles would be able to attract more customers' interests.

Toyota lead the development of minivans and their marketing in the past. But as their improvements for coping with changing demands of customers were delayed, the other manufactures could follow Toyota substantially. As I have not driven it yet, I cannot make any evaluation of new products. But I had an impression at today's meeting that these vehicles are the most probable products to become big hits.
