Throughout the day, it had heavy rains which continued from last night. So I could not go around to see colorful autumn leaves. The following shots were taken from the inside of windows.

The weather station said it would continue to rain tomorrow too. Furthermore a big repair work of Tomei Super Express Highway was expected to reopen from tomorrow. So I left from Hakone for Tokyo at two o'clock in afternoon, preparing myself for hard rains and heavy congestions . On my way back, I passed over three sites of heavy accidents which policemen were investigating. It took more than three hours to get to my home. Because of hard rains, many accidents happened on highway. I thought I should avoid the driving on highway under heavy rains.

Now on, I will report on the show.

Mercedes Benz exhibited sporty cars.

Military type 4WD are very popular among spectators. The right picture is a jeep which has an image of PT Cruiser.

The "pod" was very popular among reporters. It was co-developed by Toyota and Sony. It shows emotion and interacts via a display. For smooth save driving it responds with a clapping hands image. Reckless driving results in a surprised and fearful expression. The pod also reveals its feelings to the outside world. Using its LED facial features, it demonstrates happy, sad, sleepy and angry. Over time, it learns the driver's performance and character traits. It adjusts the suspension for a smoother ride if rough roads are on the daily agenda. It can be said as a car version of "Furby," I think. In future, once you tell a car where to go, it will carry you to the destination comfortably, safely and speedy. This car may be the first step toward the dream and ideal transportation.

Although I reported yesterday, GM's Chevrolet e-cruze, which was displayed at the show, had no display screen on its dash board. A slide which was shown at their press meeting held on October 23 in Tokyo, the car had not only a screen on dashboard but it had screens at the back of front seats.
