Today I will report about Nissan's exhibition.

The revival model of "Fair Ladies" is shown in the above left two pictures. It became rather fat compared the one shown at New York Auto Show in late April. As I like a slim style of old one, I am disappointed a bit. A designer who was standing at their booth told me they do not change the car name of "Fair Lady" to "Datsun Z," because it is the American name. He insisted in Japanese market it must be "Fair Lady." which late Mr. Kawamata, an ex-chairman of Nissan, named. I have presumed that it would be changed to "Datsun Z." But they were obliged to give it up, because it is very difficult for Japanese to pronounce "Z." I imagined.

The above left picture shows a concept car without a wheel handle.

In afternoon, I brought a set of IBM Aptiva to Mr. Yoshinobu Nakamura's laboratory. As the Eudora on the machine has become imoperational, I asked him to repair it. As there was a heavy congestion on the Metropolitan Speedway due to accidents, it took one hour more than usual. I arrived at Lake Kawaguchi after sunset and could not see autumn colored view at the lake.
