When I drove up to the Otome pass before nine,
I could see the top of Mt. Fuji fairly well through light moistures.
But I could not see the mountain again after that throughout the
day.
I drove down the Tomeri super highway from Gotemba
to Numazu and then to Tohi town on the west coast of Izu peninsula
to eat fresh fish. The car navigator on my Prius guided me there
smoothly and safely. I went down to the pier to reserve a ferry
boat to Tagonoura and bought a ticket. The ticket office recommended
me to eat fishes at a restaurant on the second floor of their
building. They served me a roasted sea bream which was dried a
half under the sun from early this morning. They also made a cup
of miso soup with crab legs and also a dish of sashimi, such as
bonito, sea bream, cuttlefish and scallop. The added a cup of
vinegar radish. They were delicious. It was really worth of my
efforts for coming down here. A few persons were taking lessons
of sea skiing and some otheres were fishing at the pier (armatures
were getting small fishes.) A horde of big buses came here with
many group tour passengers by the departure time of ferry. The
boat run on the surface of sea smoothly to Tagonoura. It took
fifty five minutes to get there. I could see the top of Mr. Fuji
vaguely on the front sky of boat but could not take its picture.
The I drove up to the Fuji inter change of Tomei super express
way. I could get back to Hakone by two thirty.
Mountains surrounding Sengokuhara started to
be colored. I could see a beautiful sunset after weeks.
