It was a beautiful day from early morning. I went to the Garden Place in Ebisu before noon, expecting I might be able to see Mt. Fuji clearly from there. When I tried to enter the underground parking lots, a few guardsman surrounded my Prius and told me the severe security check has been enforced due to the terrorist attack in New York. I was requested to show my driver license to them. When I opened my pause to show it, one of them thrusted his head into the car through a window and glanced it. Then he said "OK." There was no check on a car trunk or loads. Inside the plaza, there were many guardsmans. Some of them were standing still at every entrance of the tower, the others were patrolling not only a plaza of place but inside of Mitsukoshi Department store. In this tower building, one of the tenants is General Motors, the symbol of U.S. economic power. I thought it was the reason why severe security was enforced suddenly. Although many guardsmans were mobilized, their actions were far from perfect. In late this month, the Tokyo Motor Show will be opened and many top executives of world auto manufactures are expected to get together in Tokyo. The top executives of General Motors are said to come here as scheduled in spite of the terrorist attack. I hope the security will be tightened enough by that time.@
From the top of tower, I could not get Mt. Fuji at all because the westward sky had heavy moisture. But the eastward sky was very clear so that I could see mountains on Boso peninsula of the other side of Tokyo bay (pictures on bottom were taken through a glass window. I could not get good ones.)
