As the very limited number of ATM is available on holiday, I drove up to the Ohtemachi branch, which is the biggest branch in Metropolis of S bank in early morning. An American bank next to S bank was opened for ATM customers but S bank was closed. Then I moved to Ginza branch of S bank, which they promote as 24 hour service. all day through the year. Although it was lighted up inside, I could not open its door. After loitering around the bank, I found a machine opens the door when customer inserts his cash card in it. It is located the place where it is hard to find. About three hundreds meters ahead, an American bank has the same machine for opening door, but it is installed at the place where customers are easy to access. Furthermore, it is well heated while S bank has no heat. I hope Japanese banks should make efforts to have good customer service like foreign banks.
