Early this morning, I took a walk around the Imperial Palace. The groups of ducks which stayed here until late spring were gone from the creeks. Two white swans are remaining here. I jogged around the Place three or four times a month before I broke my left leg five and a half years ago. Inside the Gate Wadakura, there is a small plaza where I started to jog around the palace and finished the run. This morning, I saw a few joggers but more than a falf of them were foreigners. The Gate has been kept well. It looks the same as in old days. But the outside view from the Gate has been changed. A tall but ugly building are being completed so that the beautiful view from the gate was lost.

Many homelesses are living inside the Highboy park. Some of them moved out to the Palace park. They took nights at benches there and brought paper bags of their whole belongings with them.
I took a breakfast at a nearby hotel. Although it was early in morning, its lobby was crowded with female tourists departing for group tours.
